I noticed that a number of wal-mart's do not carry guns anymore. So this is good news. We have dicks but they are limited in what they carry. S & W has a factory in springfield also their is a firearms museum in springfield. Some of the guns at my club say that it is a good take, you can tour S & W but you must call first and check out the hours.

Most of the old Springfield Armory is now the Springfield Technical Community College. I took Calculus I and English Comp II there. The is also a museum focused on the armory, and a business incubator.

It's a real shame that Springfield doesn't really buy into its historic contributions to small arms development. When they were getting a new hockey team, there was a fairly big movement to get them named the Springfield Rifles, but the uproar over the inappropriateness of such a violent name caused them to be named after a darn falcon that lives on a ledge of one of the downtown high rises. The friggen bird even has it's own channel on Cable.
