Just picked up a real nice S&W 2206 for $200 at the gun shop. Ran several mag-fulls of CCI Mini Mags thru it at the indoor range. First couple mags fed without a hitch, 3rd (or maybe it was the 4th) mag had a fail-to-feed (hammer went "click" on an empty chamber with rounds still in the mag), last mag had a couple fail-to-feeds and a couple outright jams. Pistol is reasonably clean - no heavy build-up of crud. Do the original 12 round mags have a history of feed problems, or might I have one with a weak spring? I want to pick up some extra mags for it since I've only got the one that came with the pistol, but not sure if I'd be better off with the 10 round ones or 12 like the original. The problems with that last mag-full kinda rained on the "wow" and "cool" factor of the purchase (and first few trouble-free mag-fulls).
Also, anyone know of a particular ammo brand the 2206 really likes (or really hates)? I've heard .22 autos can be very picky. I'm going to give it a good cleaning just in case, and give several different ammo brands a try, but any info that might shorten the "discovery" period would help.
