Well I talked the wife into spending the evening at Cabela's, seeing as how some unexpected money dropped into my pocket. Just about half the population of the eastern seaboard was there too, but we sort of expected that. Anyway, after looking at several things on my wish list, I decided that the Kel Tec was tops. I looked briefly at the NAA .22 magnum, but it was so tiny in my hand that the lady standing next to us started laughing at it. When I said, "Stick 'em up!" in a high (well, high for me") falsetto, I thought she was going to wet her pants.

But the Kel Tec followed me home. I did not look too closely at the bag of goodies that came with it, but discovered after standing in line at the checkout counter for 15 minutes that it only came with one magazine. Is that SOP for Kel Tec? I have purchased a number of automatics over the years, and they always came with two. Then I am looking at the manual in the truck while the wife ran into the grocery store for some stuff, and there is not even a part number to order more! I am off to the Kel Tec site next, but someone please tell me I can get more magazines for this thing! Tomorrow after church I am off to the range to see how it goes bang. I bought two boxes of FMJ, one Winchester and one Magtech. That must be good stuff, because it says technologically advanced on the box. :p

My P32 came new with no spare. I do suggest that when you order it, you order the belt clip. They offer one for either side, I think, and both might be a good idea. I think you can only put one on at a time, but inside a boot, or a waist band, or clipped on a button hole your wife adds to your undershirt or the strap on an "A type" undershirt, may require the other one, regardless of which you order.

I assume it is to ccw legally. I am in Kansas, and we can not ccw, yet,,,, but when I take my dog out at night I can hang mine on my right hip pocket, outside, and visible, and I am legal, but no one ever notices it.

Yes, I am pleased with my P32, and a P3AT is on my want list.

1 mag is SOP

Yes. I had to buy an extra. Did you get the hard chrome model? That's what I have.

CAUTION! Take down is critical. Hold securely on both sides of the take-down pin as you extract it. Otherwise you can crack the frame. Also, the exjector plug ( can't recall the precise name" is a tiny piece that simply lies there ( a bitty little block of steel). Do not drop it or you may have to purchase a new one.

For what it is worth, my P3AT has never failed me. Great record and it is so reliable that it is my summer time first back-up.

Good choice.

I bought the wee little DeSantis Nemesis pocket holster while I was at the store, and yes, it is for concealed carry. This thing fits right into the watch pocket of my shorts! :D

I have had my license for 15 years now, and this one will be nice for those few occasions where I am all dressed up in my Sunday go to meeting clothes, and don't have room for my favorite, the S&W .357 magnum.

Looks like another magazine for your P3-AT are available from Kel-Tec themselves for $20 each.

I have 2 P-32 and a P3AT They have been trouble free .I shoot S&B ball and CorBon DPX in the P3AT. If you should lose the ejector just call service they will ship a new one.and it will likely be free. They have great customer service.
Warning don't SLAM mags in to you KT This not a Combat gun and nor made for fast reloads. I hold release down incert mag and release. The mag release is plastic and mag metal . you do math on which gives out first. Metal release can be bought from another member on the FT board.

Well I talked the wife into spending the evening at Cabela's

That in itself is an amazing accomplishment...:D

Congrats. I've been thinking a P3AT would be nice to own. It's significantly smaller than anything else I own except for my NAA mini and I don't wanna rely on THAT for defense. I really have all the carry guns I need, but heck, you can always use another I reckon. :D

Thanks for the replies everyone! I had been hoping to get to the range this afternoon, but it has been raining steadily, and I don't want to shoot it that bad (yet). I used to be able to shoot in my backyard, but now we have neighbors of the citified variety, and they do not care for things going bang. So that is out. I think I am going to have to get busy in the barn and make that indoor range I have been wanting...
