Picked it up at the LGS earlier, a Savage Axis II Veil Whitetail camo Exclusive 6.5 Creedmoor w/4-12x40mm scope and heavy barrel. Am really looking forward to taking it out to the local gun club, all 90 acres of it. I have ammo on order. The Allen sling, 22lr and .45ACP were added bonuses. A good day at the LGS

Congratulations! I hope you enjoy your new rifle, and the ammo you found. Let us know how it shoots for ya!

Nah, don't let us know how good it shoots. Just let us know if it doesn't shoot well.

I picked one up in 6.5C during last year's Wal-Mart fire sale. It's the first gen, so no accu-trigger. I stuck a $75 Tasco 6-24x on it to keep my total price around $200. It's not super picky about ammo, but it loves the Hornady Precision Hunter a lot. It shoots everything pretty well. Yours will too.

Congrats! Sounds like a nice rig. Stuff like that should come with a "CAUTION - MAY BE HABIT FORMING" warning. I've yet to see a 6.5 Creed that didn't shoot well. Fellow I see occasionally at my club's range has a Ruger American in that chambering that is a tack driver with 129 gr. Hornady American Whitetail factory ammo.

an interesting choice for a first rifle, and a good one I think. That would be a good rugged gun. I have heard of some light primer strikes with various axis rifles, you could look it up if yours has any issues.
