I remember that there was a movement to revoke Moore's Bowling for Columbine "documentary" Oscar. Anyone know how that ended up?

That would really take the wind out of that buffoon's sails to have to explain how his Oscar was taken away.

It's still going on, but, frankly, it being revoked is highly unlikely. (Which is a dismal sign of the status our society right now, bleh.)

the academy awards are garbage anyway if it had won the nobel prize i could se the argument for it. But bowling was just a shi#$y movie that was meant to milk suckers out of money. most rational people write it off as soon as tehy see the heston interview. atleast most I've spoken to here...and those are college kids in CA. don't get more liberal then that this side of Cuba.

I sent this email:
Greetings,

I was wondering what the Academy Awards position was on Michael Moore's "Bowling for Columbine" DOCUMENTARY (Feature) Oscar award, after the exposure that it was a work of political fiction, not a documentary.

I will point to this website detailing that this film is deliberately, seriously, and consistently deceptive:

I think that it is grossly unfair to the other nominated films, that abided by your rule 12, to allow "Bowling for Columbine" to keep the award. I also think that allowing it to keep the award will set a precedent encouraging other filmmakers to submit fictional, deceptive, and/or political polemic works as fact, in order to win this award.

I look forward to your response,

Sincerely,
I'll post any answers I might get for that.
