I just ordered an electronic scale and I always said it'd be a cold day in Hades when I did that. :D But it's that cheap one that Midway has on clearance for $19.99. I want it for weighing bullets. That balance beam is making me crazy for that chore. And yes, I know they can be good. I'm just old and stuck in my ways, so don't yell at me. LOL

Qajaq: Congratulations on your latest purchase. Hope you puchased Midway's 72 hour warranty along with the balance. You will need it when it dies on you the first day. :)

I have two of them and they've successfully made it well past infancy.

I used a Lee beam scale for years, but the Midway electronic scale makes it much easier to weight shot charges and allows me to weigh bullets and such that were heavier than the Lee's max.

I still use the Lee for setting up pistol/rifle charge weight, tho.

If it dies, I'll put it on my computer desk and tell everyone that I use it to weigh all my money. LOL

I bought one of the Franford Arsenal 28 dollar scales over a year ago. Its worked great, accurate, no problems at all. A friend bought the same scale a few weeks ago, and its junk. He calibrated it, and used it to set up and load 200 rounds. He brought his reloading stuff to my place, cause we like to load together. For the heck of it we tested his by mine, and his was weighing .7gr higher than mine. We broke out the balance beam and mine was dead on, his was .7gr over. We pulled his loads, he was over max by .3gr on them. Would it have blown up his gun? Maybe, but probably not. Either way, its on its way back to Midway.

Rbernie: Did you buy those 19.95 Chinese specials? I have 3 reloading buddies who bought them and they lasted between one week and a month. I belive Harbor Frieght had them for 14.95 a few months back. don't know if they weighed in grains or not. Think I'll stick with my Dillon.

+ 1 loadedround, I will stick with my RCBS 750 it's like my old daddy use to tell me "you get what you pay for son" ;)

If I wake up breathing, and can walk as far as the bathroom, it's a great day and I'm happy.

Remember, no one is guaranteed tomorrow, so you best have a good time today!!! LOL
