I’ve got a 10” .300BLK BRN-180S upper on a BRN-180 lower (the one with the original AR-180 magazine well asthetics). I’ve got an approved Form 1 so that I can slap a stock on it.

I see lots of side-folding options. However, I am curious whether a collapsible SIG MCX stock would work on the BRN-180. Will it open and collapse without being obstructed? Would the charging handle interfere with the stock in the closed position?

If anyone has insights or can provide photos confirming whether or not this combo is compatible, please post. Thanks!

It won't cause an issue. The SIG stock folds to the side of the gun opposite of the charging handle.

I understand that the side-folding stock would be fine. However, I am referring to and asking about the collapsible (also known as telescoping) stock and not the side-folding variant (see link below).

I am concerned whether there is enough clearance for the stock to collapse (for instance, is the BRN receiver too fat?) and whether the charging handle will make contact with the stock (I am not sure how the MCX stock’s bars line up once attached). I am confident that the collapsible stock is fine in its extended position, but am not sure whether it can collapse and, if it can, whether it will interfere with the reciprocating charging handle.

The SIG MCX Stock looks like this, collapses like HK stock.

This is my P556 SBR, unless I shorten the right leg of the stock the charge handle hits it if you fire with it completely collapsed.
I have no idea if it would fit the AR 180 or clones.
