I have a Brno Model 1 22 LR that I cannot find whether it is supposed to be single stage/set trigger or a single stage only. I can push the trigger forward as if to set, but the firing pin just drops in the process.

Can anyone confirm what kind of trigger a Brno Model 1 should have?

There are two types of triggers on the Model 1, depending upon when it was built. Neither are set triggers, one is adjustable (built mostly after ~1950 and also used on the Model 3) and the other is supposedly "non-adjustable" but can be adjusted with shims, etc. The adjustable trigger can be set up as a two-stage trigger or a single (I have this trigger on my Model 1 and Model 3). Pushing the trigger forward will cause the gun to fire, and that's also how you remove the bolt.

Check out this thread for very clear photos (Post #1) of the two triggers as well as instructions on adjusting the "non-adjustable" version.

Here's a photo of the two trigger types, lifted from the link above. Which type do you have?

Here's a huge resource of just about any info you might want on the Model 1 and other BRNOs.

Took it apart this morning and it is the top variation. I came to the conclusion that is was exactly as you explained. Appreciate the detailed response though.

Now the question is, what would you value a Model 1, adjustable trigger variation, small dings, minimal wear, good bore, BUT the receiver/barrel has been drilled & tapped for weaver bases? I know because of that it isn't in a collector condition, but as a shooter?

Edit: Looking at your picture it does not have any import marks or secondary serial numbers like the one in the picture.
