Broke down and bought an AK

Here are some pics of the Ace sidefolder on a Saiga 223. Its the same as their short fixed stock with the addition of a folding hinge between the rear trunnion adapter and the front of the stock itself. It's QUITE solid and the rifle can be operated either with the stock folded or opened. When folded, this rifle is 27" long; just over the legal minimum. A rifle with a muzzle attachment would be a bit longer.

Damn it. Prior to seeing this, I decided on no more black rifles after my recent AR purchase. Now it looks like I'll need to get a folding stock AK.

Crap.

BenEzra,

If you strip the varnish off and refinish it with truoil or something similar you might be surprised by just how good it ends up looking. It's not like you're going to have nicely figured walnut all of a sudden, but I've had a few compliments on how nice the wood on my SAR3 looks after refinishing it.

Overall, I've been very pleased with mine. I got it used for $300 and it shoots 3 MOA all day with cheap ammo.
