funny, today I got another offer to buy the gun I was shooting. I was teamed up with three guys whom I've never shot with before. Anyway, I brought out my 2010 Shot Show Special Browning White Lightning 20 gauge with 30" long non-ported barrels. They made 200 of these and I was lucky enough to get one.
After the first 50 targets one of the guys asked if he could take a couple shots with my gun. I gave him the opportunity. He hit a pair of simo crossers, right off the bat. Then he tried another station, killing three more pairs. Should have seen the smile on his face. He looks me straight in the face and says, "I need to have this gun". The he says, "how much". I told him it was not for sale, emphatically. He comes back with, "everything has a price". I smiled and said, make an offer. Without a second of hesitation he uttered, "$2000!" I said immediately, no again He came back with a counter, "$2800!" It was hard but I said no for the last time. He did give me his address and phone number, should I change my mind.
I proceeded to dust all of them with high score which made my new found friend wanting my gun even more. It was a funny day...
