I replaced a spring in a Brng B-22. Upon reassembly I cannot get the trigger group to go back into the receiver w/o binding just after the trigger group rails come in contact with the receiver rail slots. I followed the Field Manual directions (pulled bolt group back & all) but it just doesn't seem to want work.Any hints? Thanks

*Will the bolt cycle fully on top of the trigger group?
*Is the striker cocked?

If it won't move fully to the rear, you might have the firing pin (striker) turned in the bolt.
It must be cocked to put it back in the receiver.

*Do you have the barrel assembly removed from the receiver?
I don't think it will go in with the rifle assembled.

Check the little plastic buffer at the end of the recoil spring guide rod. It must be correctly installed in the recess where the end of the spring guide rod rests, or the bolt will not retract fully to the rear.

Could be the cause of your problem.

:D Got it! Seems the cartridge stop can go in two ways (Naturally only one works). I tried it the other way and it went back together. On all the schematics it shows the piece going up into the receiver but it isn't real clear on which way it actually fits. AND when you take it apart it falls out before you can see how it was in there. Thanks for the suggestions. Compliments to the forum, too. It has the best PDF schematic and the Browning Field Guide on file. It was much clearer than my copy.
