My impression is, it's not a Mauser. More like a Rem 700. Can't go into detail as my own A-Bolt has been at the barrelmaker's so long I can't recall what the inards look like. (Part of the reason it needed a new barrel was to get rid of the made in Japan stamp.) Actually, I think it's push feed, with different extractor and safety than the Mauser's. Still a strong, smooth action though.
