Rick11c,

1) Welcome to The High Road. We are glad you are here.

2) It is generaly regarded as "shouting" when you go to all caps. Some consider this discourteous.

3) This is the General Gun Discussions. You may get better results in the shotgun section. If you PM a mod they can mover it for you.

Again welcome to The High Road.

take solid ring thingy and put the flat side against receiver
put on recoil spring
take copper bushy thingy and put on top of spring
put on barrel
kill doves

For further information and pictures on the matter see post #3

and put the flat side against receiver
Nope!
Browning would have you put the flat side against the spring and the beveled side against the receiver.

Putting the flat against the receiver makes for a very poor fit for the ground spring end to butt against.

There is also a flat edge and a beveled edge on the bronze friction piece.
The flat goes against the spring, and the bevel goes in the barrel ring.

Aw heck!
Read the directions!

Have you tried it on the "heavy" setting?

If not, then I would suggest that, if it will cycle leave it. Mine will cycle 7/8oz loads on heavy, but not 3/4oz.

Always start heavy and work down on A5's.

Nice shotgun. I tell you what - send it to me and I'll set it up for you.

I may even give it back some day....

I have been looking for one of these. I have a 12 ga and want a 20 to compliment it. If youre interested in selling, pm me. RC is correct, the beveled edge shoudl be against the receiver and flat side toward spring.

Me and my big mouth.

I havent changed the rings on my Model 11 since the day I got it since I have never shot any heavy loads out of it. Thats right, the rule is to always put the flat side against the spring.

Yes, read the directions.
