Browning Auto 5 magazines

Hey all. does anyone know where I might find an extended magazine tube for a Browning A-5? I tried Brownells, Choate, Briley magazines, did a lot of searching but this is eluding me. thanks a.j.

I have a Choate I would part with for $125



Never been to the field or range, has been on two different guns for pictures only.

Should have included this with my last post, but, here goes. I intend to find a old Browning auto -5, to customize for HD. would magazine tubes possibly interchange between the auto 5 and the Remington 11? I guess my real question here is, are parts available for both of these models, or is there another recoil-operated shotgun that I am overlooking? I know that factory rebuild kits are avail. for the A-5 Did Savage also make a pattern shotgun similar to the auto 5? Finally, how about the old Winchester semi-auto shotguns? I will need to find an extended magazine, or a mag. extension, as well as rebuild parts for whichever I end up with, avail. of parts has kept me looking too far away from the A-5 or the Rem.11. thanks for your time!!! Savage, Remington, Daiwa, Springfield, and possibly others made versions that were copies of the original, but there is very few if any parts that will interchange with the Browning.

Browning parts are still available directly from Browning. The others have been out of production so long used parts are about all you will ever find for them.

There are plenty of donor guns on GB, I just found a Belgium Light 12 for $275 with Bell and Carlson stocks and an Invector tubed barrel, it will be either a boat gun or HD gun, haven't decided

I have heard that Remington 870 extensions fit the Remington Model 11 with the addition of a spacer...perhaps the Auto 5, as well?

The problem lies in the fact I think the locking detents are internal on the 870 and external on the A5

Orphaned cowboy has the only 8 shot one out there for sale- trust me!

No one makes a longer tube, just the extensions. You would need longer wood if you replaced the magazine tube itself.

Midway sells one for the A5. Not a bad price, either.

According to this link, the A5 is the same one as for the BPS. I would suggest a call to Midway to verify before ordering.

Well I'd not seen that Nordic yet, I'll call them and verify it fits A-5s. Also plead with them to make one to fit BPS 10ga!
