while I know it's not technically correct
does if feed reliably?

honestly that most of what I'm concerned about
historic value is second, except for a few, then I shoot the replacement mags and keep the original as pristine as possible.

From the photo looks like your magazine is broken; it is missing a chunk out of the rear, right corner.

I checked my Baby magazines to verify and they all have complete left and right rear corners on them.

If it has been modified then it does not have historic value either.
Even if it was modified by a Cleveland Garfield in order to increase the reliability of his personal carry gun with the ammo produced in the day? :)

Thank you, that's what I expected. The magazine actually looks like someone deliberately modified it by cutting the back corner and part of the feed lip; one would presume that this was done in an attempt to make the pistol more reliable. It kind of looks like a DYI job done with a dremel, followed-up with a pair of pliers.

Who is Cleveland Garfield? Am I missing something?
Early senility. I meant Grover Cleveland. And don't even get started on date discrepancies. I just pulled the name as someone famous from near the right century. :)
