Browning BAR Short Trac/Long Trac/Stalker/Safari high cap mags?

Does anyone make a hig cap or even a 10 round mag for the newer Browning BAR rifles (Short Trac, Long Trac, Safaro or Stalker) preferably in .308 or .30-06. I cant seem to find anything. If not how do I go about getting some made here in Houston? Thanks for your help in advance. Im a newbie when it comes to semi auto rifles.

No, those are hinged floorplate hunting guns built for one or two fast shots. Several plastic and metal 10 rd mags are available for Remington semis but they aren't reliable enough to bet your life on, neither is the gun IMO. If you're looking for a high power, high capacity defensive rifle then you need a gun built for that, try looking into a M1A, FAL, or AR10.

Wondering same thing recently

I had been wondering exactly the same thing. Here in California the home of both senator Feinstein (main component of federal 'assualt weapon ban, and similar state bans) and unique (hopefully career detrimental) bans by republican governors (supposedly the less anti gun party) such as the .50 BMG... Considering less than ideal semi auto rifles for what you are capable of simply buying a "AR10" becomes reasonable. With the BAR not currently considered an 'evil' rifle converting it becomes a more feasible goal than simply buying a AR10T as I would rather. Especialy since you can actualy have detachable magazines on a BAR while the only state legal AR copycats have 'permanent' non detachable mags and cost 2x their value. So with all of that out of the way: While not ideal is there aftermarket parts commercialy avialable starting with 10 round mags? What other CA non 'evil' semi auto rifles with full size rifle catridges and detachable magazines would be viable?
