Yes, it'll run you about $60:Can the plastic rear sight base be replaced with metal from Browning?
I hate plastic.........
One thing to keep in mind is that the Camper has a plastic rear sight base. It may never give you a problem, but some have been reported to have cracked.
But only if you prefer the URX grip and don't mind being pretty much stuck with it. You can get other grip panels for the Camper style more easily.
I prefer the Contour/URX, as it has a built-in picatinny rail.
If it proves true, that certainly is an excellent move on Browning's part. When I talked to Browning about a month ago, the lady said that the camper and standard use the same sights now. Don't know if true or not.
I have a standard and a camper. Both URX grips. Fits me like a glove. I would not have any other Buckmark grip for my hands. Handle the different grip choices, if you can, and see what you prefer.
I have the Camper - it's GRRRRRRREAT! I'm not sure there's much difference between the Camper and a Target, except the grips. But the Camper has adjustable rear sight. Anyway, it's just fine for me (the Camper) and I couldn't ask for more accuracy.I'd like to get a Browning Buckmark. there are so many different model, is there one better than the other? Prices vary so much. I'm looking at the Camper and the Contour URX. Why such a difference in prices?
