I'm alittle new to the world of handguns, so please bear with me. Whats the word on the Browning BDA? I've seen a few around, and alot of NIB ones around Guns America but its not on the website? They still making this thing, or did I just miss out?

Is the BDA reliable, accurate and well made? What're they going out the door for these days, do they have a 9mm version or just the .380?

The BDA is the closed-top slide version of the Beretta M84 and was made by Beretta, IIRC. Both are well-thought of. The Beretta may still be in production.
If by "9mm" you mean 9mm Luger, I doubt it. The latter requires a locked breech, whereas the .380 is blowback.
I shot a BDA years ago, and found it to be quite accurate, although memory is an untrustworthy friend when you get to my age.

As the owner of one of these little gems, I find that the front sight tends to disappear in low light situations. Recoil from the 9 M/M Short is managable, and with some proctice, you can become very accurate with this firearm. As far as a carry piece, not as primary, but as a backup for something with a bit more oats. For backup, select some GOOD personal defense ammo.

The BDA is the Beretta made .380 with a closed slide and Browning markings. However, Browning did market a pistol also called the "BDA" in 9MM Luger. It was similar to the double action "Hi-Power" they are marketing now.

The Browning BDA .380 is one of my favorite guns I have ever owned. I sold my first one when I was dumb and broke - I swore I would never do that again. Now I own another one - They are big for a .380 but that makes them a dream to shoot!! If you can get one - go for it!
