I carry this. I trust this. It works. And, I look "mahvelous" with it!

There ya go! That's exactly the extended safety I was talking about! :)

Who made it, and were you able to install it yourself? That's the one I want!

Hey, this thread is turning up some great BHP's. :D

Thank you all for the compliments on both my "new to me gun" and photography. I have also really enjoyed looking at all your BHP's. The stories that go along with the pictures really age great. Before buying this gun I never really wanted a BHP. I was totally satisfied with my other Browning designed pistol, my 1911's. This BHP has really peaked my interest in this and many other styles and makes of this design. I too would like to add an extended thumb release, aka 1911 style but more rounded, like some I have seen here and on other forums. I plan to shoot the heck out of mine. I am also thinking of refinishing it for more durability. Possibly a matte reblue or the satin hard crome. I really like a bead blasted stainless, but since the BHP is not available in that metal the next best thing is the satin hard chrome or I could really grow to like the matte blue. either would help to cover the imperfections and dings in the gun.

I have a 9MM Silver Chrome BHP. Its one of my most accurate and favorite pistols.

That's a Cylinder & Slide 1911-style BHP Safety. It's available in blue or hard-chrome, single-side (left) or ambi, and you can buy it from Brownell's or direct from C&S. The best part is its featured "ball-detent" that allow this BHP safety to snick (with-a-click) from safe to fire. No more mushy uncertainty on your BHP!

You better be a pretty accomplished pistol-tuner to install it yourself. C&S suggests fitting it by a Pro.

Just had to add mine.

I am keeping my Canadian Inglis No2, Mk l*.
Don't really need it.
Don't really want to get rid of it either.

One of the most accurate 9mm's I have ever shot; with a great trigger pull right out of the box.
