I have a couple of followers in 13 round mags that are dented/dinged from the slide stop and need to be replaced. The slide won't stay open on the last shot or with one of these empty mags. Other mags work fine.
I tried Mec Gar and Browning, neither sell the internal parts only the complete magazine.

I am looking for a source of followers.

I seem to recall reading a post somewhere that mentioned followers from Cylinder and Slide for the BHP. Their site just lists complete mags but it may be worth a call.

The metal KRD followers...

...are the best in my experience. I bought a dozen or so KRD (south african) mags and took the followers out of them. I swapped those stamped steel followers with the plastic ones in my Mec-Gar mags, and I have had fabulous results for many thousands of rounds. My only complaint? the 15-round Mec-Gar mags rattle when loaded to capacity with these followers.

I'm not aware of any company that currently sells followers for the Browning Hi-Power. Up until a few years ago, Midwestgunworks did sell 4 legged followers @ $9.95ea. I called about a year ago and they were currently out and not expecting to get more.

Keep those magazines that don't lock the slide back on an empty for range use only, and purchase some new complete Mec-Gars last time I looked $17.99ea from Midwayusa.

One thing about the Hi-Power, there's millions of mags out there for it. You just have to be careful about picking up a used mag at a gun show (for example).
