Is wear to the rear of the trigger normal on a Browning Hi-Power Mk III? Please see pic, it looks like the finish has been worn down on the left side of the trigger. The right side looks fine, it's only the left that has the wear.

I'm thinking of acquiring this particular Hi-Power, but I'm not familiar enough with these pistols to know whether I should be concerned.

Haven't seen that before on any Hi-Power I have owned or looked at but it really wouldn't concern me all that much. If the gun still works properly and the trigger functions as it should then all is well.

Looked at my 1968 Silesian Belgium and have no wear visible on either side of the trigger. There is a slight trigger wobble side to side though.

That said I wouldn't worry about the little bit you've shown here, at all.

Any chance that you're not pulling the trigger straight to the rear with the pad of your finger and not the crook of the first joint? I know this sounds almost silly but it comes from bullseye shooting many years ago where everything about how a shot is let off needs to be done with the utmost absolute anality.

Continuing in anality I suppose you could disassemble the pistol in order to lightly stone the contacting surfaces of trigger and frame but given that slight rub your finnickiness in doing so would be on a level for which you'd be awarded a medal, The Anality Medal.

I guess...

BTW, it's nice for me to see that Browning still builds the model with care for its appearance. Yours, as little you let us see of it, has the beautiful clean lines and fine finish that, IMO, has always made the BHP the best looking handgun of all.
