Looking at a NIB Hi-power ----matte finish---plastic grips---for $499.

Good deal or not?

Thanks

A Mark III? That's a pretty good price for a new one, maybe $100 to $150 below what new ones usually go for these days, at least most places I see them.

Guess I'll have to go back tomorrow-----its sitting there alone---neglected--like a lonesome stepchild---all the tactical plastic and 1911's shoving it into a back corner.

You better go save it's life!!! Have a friend that has one and is the most accurate auto he has. At least thats what he told me. He sure shoots it very well.

Browning's price to dealers in the 2008 book is nearly $700, with suggested retail of nearly $900. Buy it for $499.

Browning product catalog 2008; $895.00 sug retail price

A Browning Mark 3 type 9mmNATO high power runs a 2008 catalog price of $895.00 USD .

That seems really steep.

$400-600.00 sounds about right for a NIB high power 9mmNATO.

To put this into perspective NIB 9mm Glock and S&W M&P Pistols run in the low to mid $500s street price. Those are simple polymer frame striker fired pistols. A comparable metal frame 9mm pistol with traditional hammer & sear firing mechanism, the SIG-Sauer P226 carries a $929 suggested retail price. New Hi-Powers are expensive, but not out of line in price.

I don't like the newer ones.....I paid 800 for a slightly used (50 rounds) standard (polished blue) 1993 Model and I am quite happy!

I can see one advantage to getting old. You guys are talking about paying at least $500 for a BHP, and that's a great deal. I bought mine before the Clinton gun ban for under $400.

I wish my salary was going up at the same rate as gun prices, food prices, gas prices, etc., etc.

I passed on it------under closer inspection it was a .40 instead of the 9mm I thought it was------had .40's before---don't want nothin to do with another one.

And yes ---its a NIB Browning.
