Browning X-Bolt .308

Just got my wife a X-Bolt .308 for deer season. Mounted a Bushnell 3200 Elite 4-12x40 DOA on it.

Went out to work up a good load for it and zero it today.

First load with a 165gr Sierra SBT over 42.5gr R-15, F210 went 3/4" and I thought cool this thing may shoot. Next group was a 165gr Sierra HPBT over the same powder/charge and it was about 5/8", next group with this bullet was a small cloverleaf of under 1/2".

I'm highly impressed for an out of the box factory rifle!!!!

Handles good and has a really good trigger pull too..........

Maybe I'm gonna have to be an Indian giver?????

My X-Bolt in 7mm-08 is quite a shooter as well. Mine are under an inch all day long with factory ammo.

It's the 20" Micro and my dealer cost was $660., so I'd guess "street" price would be around $750.

Other people on this board don't like their feel, but I love both of mine. Have a .270 wsm and a .300wsm for my wife and I. Both have been very accurate with win elite ammo. I can't wait to handload.
