I am potentially in the market for a new rifle in the next few months, and I have been looking at the browning x bolt. I was wondering if anyone had any experience/ opinions?

I was in particular looking at the stainless model with the black synthetic stock. Probably in 25-06.

please let me know.

I have one in .243 and it is a great rifle. As far as accuracy, it will shoot sub moa with the right factory loads. If you do a google search you will find a ton of information and testimonials on the rifle. Gun Tests Magazine concluded it was the most accurate hunting rifle they ever tested, but I believe that was the .270 model. If you like the fit and feel, I would not hestitate to buy one, and quite frankly if I had to buy another centerfire rifle it would probably be another x-bolt.

I have the micro-hunter in .308 and love it. I went with the micro-hunter because the shorter barrel and shorter stock make it easier to work with inside a blind. I love the look of the x-bolts, they look sleek. Also very accurate, and VERY light. Had to put a muzzle brake on it 'cause it was kickin pretty hard.

I have the stainless stalker in 06 and truely love it. Very accurate and cleaning is a breeze as it never fouls. With the composit stock and stainless barrel and action its great for the hunting I do in the Pacific N.W. rainforests. Buy one you'll love it. Frank

Posted this earlier, but I would not hesitate to buy another X-Bolt

Went to the farm a few weeks ago with the daughter, after we filled feeders and built some duck blinds, we decided to check the zero on our hunting rifles and zero the '06 I had listed on here. I bought some cheap Fiocchi 223 55gr PSP for general coyote control and was pleasantly surprised:

The TSX 55gr was good but not as good as the Fiocchi:

The '06 was equally as impressive with the Fiocchi 168gr Sierra Game King:

I am actually glad no one bought it........
