Is anyone making aftermarket X Lock scope mounts for Browning X Bolt rifles? The lowest option sold by Browning (Talley) is called "standard" height and it isn't very low IMO.

DNZ makes a one-piece mount which they claim is low but I usually avoid one-piece mounts.

I wanted to see if you guys knew of any aftermarket options. I ordered "low" mounts from Midway that were sold as just Talley and they weren't low - same height as the Browning "standard".

I am just trying to mount my 30mm scope a little lower. Thanks in advance.

+ on dual dove tail bases and rings, on all my hunting rifles I use them. eastbank.

Because the integrated mounts are too high I doubt that switching to separate bases and rings will offer anything substantially lower. You could risk Burris Zee Super Low rings (.130") and the Weaver Style Warne bases (probably .250" or so) but that only gains you a fraction of a tenth.

Best suggestion is to purchase a Kick Eez brand Cheek Eez pad to raise your buttstock height (up to 1/4"). Not ideal but sometimes easier than fighting what otherwise works.
