I just got my Grandfathers Remington restored to firing condition. It has full buckhorn rear sights on it.
I do not want to change them out due to wanting to keep the gun as is.
Just wondering how others have used this type of sights.
Small fine notch in the bottom has windage adjustment. Then tall buckhorn. I have been told the lower sight should be for 25 or 50 yards. Then use ring as a ghost sight for 100 yards or so. I will be going to the range soon to determine where these positions fall.
