Alright, this Christmas I plan on getting a new handgun for under 500 or so. I was checking around online sources, and it seems that this place has some great prices on bunch of products. I saw that they hae Beretta 92FS models NIB for 485. The lowest I seen here locally is 579 at most shops. Is this a reputable place? If so, I plan to look at this place VERY closely.

Of course thats shipped to your dealer It will cost you more than the price you quote by time all done.. If you go to their store prices are higher.

Add $25 for shipping and your dealer transfer for your actual price. As for Bud's I bought a keltec rifle from them and it went smooth. Mark

Bud's is a great place to do business. I always compare prices to what they have online. Bought a Springfield Ultra Compact 1911 years ago and it was a good experience.

RE: Bud's

Bought a Lwt SA 1911 several months ago. Good experience, will buy from them again. Some of the best prices I can find on the internet are at Bud's.

Just consider his $25 shipping fee. But generally even after you factor that in, he's still less expensive than most others who charge $15 shipping.

Yeah shipping is higher, cc surcharge too, but their prices still come out pretty nice. My only complaint is their shipping can run a little slow. I'm perhaps spoiled but I think it takes them too long to ship a gun.

Agreed. THey will take their time on it. CC penalty is 3% thats about average. I've seen 2% and 4%.

I've done business with Bud for 15 years and he has always done me right. 3 weeks ago, I bought a S&W Model 19 from him. When I bought my Remington 700 ADL, he let me look thru a shipment of 12 rifles to find the one with the best wood. Nice selection. Great indoor range. The reason his shipping is slow may be because he now has a motorcycle shop and he's going to open a safe store in Lexington.

They're very well know online and I've never heard a bad thing about them. Their prices beat even my local favorite (who is the lowest this half of the state as far as I can find).

Greetings, Spooky. Buds is about 17 miles from Lexington. Take U.S. 27/68 north from Lexington. It's located in Paris, Ky. Went over there this A.M. and the scenery was beautiful. Anyone who has never taken a drive thru the Blue Grass horse farm county is missing out on a real treat. I'm in Lexington. Where are you located?

Howdy Ky Larry, sorry for the late reply. I'm in lex, too. Didn't know there were other highroaders in town. Will have to give buds a try sometime. Their website said their hours were 9-5 m-f, is that right?

Spooky, IIRC Bud's hours are 9-6 Mon-Sat. Their phone # is (859)987-5465.
It's a shame our local range burned. From what I hear, it won't be rebuilt. Bummer.

Yeah, it really bummed me out when it burned down. It was a nice place. My sister would finally go shooting with me and I had a good place to bring new folks. Now I have to make the drive (increasingly more rare) to Bluegrass Sportsmans League in Wilmore. And I also heard it wasn't being rebuilt, as my sister drove by a while back and saw a 'lot for sale' sign up in front.

Thanks for the info on buds.
