I was browsing Bud's website the other day and it looks like they've suspended their layaway program. Anyone familiar?

Their website still shows the 90 day and 180 day (select Items) still available. I was just on their. I do like Kentucky Gun Company and Whitakers much better now though

I just bought something yesterday and the layaway program was being offered

I have looked at about 20 to 30 listings for pistol, rifle and shotgun, all main stream stuff (colt, ruger, sig, smith...). No layaway for anything. Something is up. I sent an email asking why the change.

Yes, their layaway program is normally pretty straightforward. However (as was stated) if you search individual firearms, all of them seem to have a "no layaway" tag.

Just a theory, but one possible explanation could be the upcoming election. They don't want people panicking and putting a ton of guns (expensive or otherwise) on layaway and thus taking them off availability for immediate sale.

I guess I just looked at the one's that they are having a hard time selling...that sounds about right for me.
