Hello. I am looking at purcahsing 2 handguns from budsgunshop. They have the Sig P220 and CZ75B that I am wanting to get but is not available locally. Also, I will only have to pay 8.25% on the transfer rather than on the guns themselves. Plus, I have the option to pay for these guns in a year interest free. Has anybody done business with this online dealer? Comments before proceeding to purchase would be highly appreciated.

Thanks.:)

Absolutely. I have bought a handful of guns, both long guns and handguns, from them.
You'll be hard pressed to find a better price for the same gun locally, or anywhere else on the internet. They aren't always the cheapest, but many times they are.

I've had very good dealings with them on two seperate orders. I especially like the emails letting you know the status of your order from beginning to end. Another plus is the fact that their online prices include shipping to your FFL so there are no "surprises".

Thanks for the responses. It's always reassuring to hear from 1st hand information.

I am a little confused on the 8.25% to transfer thing. My local FFL gunshop only charges me $20 per gun that I order online no matter how much the gun costs.

Buds guns are the best. Great prices and a $10 FFL fee on my end is all. (No tax)

Bud's does a lot of business, and by all accounts is a pretty decent set of folks to deal with. I have bought several things from them without negative incident.

I have been using Sporting Arms for most of my gun orders for the last couple/three years. They are also good folk.

Scott, he is talking about paying sales tax on his transfer fee.

Buds is A+++ in all of my experiences:D Although they need to stock Saiga's!!! (7.62x39)

If my local dealers do not have the gun in stock or don't seem eager to order it, I will use Buds. Good shop to deal with. Takes about 3-6 days for the gun to ship. Packing could be better, but none of mine have arrived damaged. Prices are good and include shipping. +3% for credit card but no tax if out of state.

I've made several purchases from Bud's and all have been smooth as silk. Their prices are very good on a lot of items.

I've purchased several guns from Bud's. They used to have Sigs at an unbelievably good price. Once I bought a 220 carry NIB delivered for 525. I also bought a NIghthawk GRP NIB for 2000. Retail on the GRP is 2350. You have to be careful, some of their guns aren't that good of a deal, but others are great deals.

I've bought several guns from buds, my experience has been mostly positive and the one time I had a negative experience (purchased a gun listed as 'in stock' that turned out to be out of stock) they refunded my money.

I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again, in fact I'm sure I will at some point.

I've never bought anything on line from Buds since they are just a few miles from me. I buy almost all my guns from Buds and have for 20 years. Always been treated fair and square.

Buds has been great to me! I ordered two guns from them: a Marlin 39a and an H&R Topper Deluxe Classic. Both guns shipped within a day of receiving payment, and both arrived safe and sound (the build quality of the H&R was a little disappointing, but that's not Buds fault). If I ever have money to burn again I'll use them again :p The gun shops in Los Angeles are ridiculously overpriced.

One transaction with them. Smooth transaction. Just follow all the directions they outline when making the buy. If they don't have your FFL transfer agent on line I think you have to have them fax the appropriate paperwork.

My one and only transaction with Bud's several months ago went smoothly and I will definitely buy from them again in the future. They're out of stock on many guns (and therefore my Bud's "wish list" is growing) but that's just a function of the current heavy demand situation.

I did my first and only Bud’s purchase last February. I picked up a nice little S&W 38 Special. I called the local FFL guy and made sure he would do the transaction then called-in the order at Bud’s. As DAdmas (in post #23) stated Bud’s already had my local FFL guy’s credentials so it made for a smooth/quick transaction. Bud's sent the gun out in a very timely manner so based on my first purchase I would definitely buy again from them
