Buffer tube set up

I have a Sig 716 and want to replace the adj. stock that comes on the rifle with a Magpul PRS. I understand I need the A1/A2 buffer tube , but will the buffer and spring I currently have work or do I need a buffer and spring specific to the tube. Thanks in advance

Collapsible stocks use different buffers and springs than A1/A2 stocks. Might work OK but why take a chance?

You will need the recoil spring and buffer for a fixed stock.
