Will THR have grief counsellors on hand to help us each deal with this?

While I'm sitting here with a smirk on my face, I find myself oddly offended at one part of this story

"I was offended by how vulgar and common O'Donnell was," Robert Zimmerman, a Democrat active in progressive causes

I might be reading that wrong but does this mean he's saying regular people aren't as good as him?

    and buh bye Rosie

No, he's using vulgar and common to indicate she was behaving in a low class sort of way. You could stretch it, I guess, since using those words in that sense has its roots in the middle and upper classes looking down on poor people, but I doubt that he meant any more than she was behaving in a way not appropriate to the venue.

Her ongoing, high-profile, publicly visible implosion is some of the best entertainment to come along in years.

Putting aside her stance on gun control and how overjoyed I am she no longer has an audience, It seems like a smart move for the network.

She was always a mental case even before she joined the View. She got into more conflicts than the Nazis ever did.

According to a Fox News report, she will likely get her own show again. Because of her controversial nature, the source they cited claims that she can command about $50 million a year on her own show.

I like that she got canned, but likely she will profit from it, and still won't shut up or go away.

I may be wrong, but I think it would take a combination of crossing the street without looking both ways and a speeding 18 wheeler to silence her.

She would have to have a 5 mile head start on that door not to get hit on the way out

Wonder who the powers-that-be at ABC will sign to replace her? Sarah Brady? No, she already has a gig.

Maybe someone could enlighten me as to why anyone would care even a little about some fat slob on a daytime talk show geared towards bored housewives?

Listen to Rosie @ 1:20 and substitue the 2nd ammendment where she's spouting off about the 1st ammendment.

OK... this was neat to hear 3 hours ago. As one who is trapped by Fox News all day, I am already sick of hearing about it.

Seriously, they had 4 stories on it in the last hour.

I guess I should be happy that there isn't any REAL news going on, though.

so, she couldn't negotiate for a one-year so she chose unemployment? hmm...

Me thinks, she can say whatever she wants and ABC won't call her a liar. Just like any job, you can say you left for whatever reason you want, whether you were fired for being loud-mouthed, controversial and not fitting in doesn't have to be what you tell everyone else.

Then again though, she could have left for the reason she said too. But, that only makes sense if she's got more money than she feels like she can spend...it's not likely that she'll get anything any higher profile during daytime TV than the show she was on.

I don't have anything against Rosie O'Donnell, but judging from what she's said publicly about Donald Trump, Catholics and her views on family I really don't think we'd be friends.
