Building an Israeli FAL?

I want to get a FAL built, I have a gunsmith who will do it but I need the parts. What would I be looking for price wise and where can I obtain parts to put together a copy of a Israeli FAL? I would like to use original FAL parts if possible. I've seen the heavy barrel sold on DSARMS, how is this in quality compared to the real Israeli heavy barrel rifles sold on gunbroker? Thanks.

Oh, in that case, could I just get a regular FAL and throw on that heat shield with the wood handguard and wood stock? any modification needed?

Fundamentally, the Israeli also has the charging handle that also serves as a forward assist. The barrel threads are somewhat different, too. I owned a heavy barrel for a while, but it was too heavy for recreational shooting. I now have an STG-58 built on a gear-wheel Imbel receiver with Israeli furniture. But, then, I like wood and metal.

Where can you get a imbel receiver?

Check Gunbroker and such sites. They are getting hard to find. You might also find one on Falfiles.com.
