Just some cheap pine then dark walnut stain and two coats of water sealBeautiful. Mine is of similar design, but not nearly as refined. What type of wood did you use for the top and seats?
Ya know, that's a pretty good idea. That looks good. My club just buys the kit picnic tables from Lowes and cuts a "pocket" on each side so that the bench can be straddled by left or right handed shooters.
I would love to see a picture of that setup. I'm trying to build a range and that is exactly the kind of thing I need. That looks good. My club just buys the kit picnic tables from Lowes and cuts a "pocket" on each side so that the bench can be straddled by left or right handed shooters.
If I can remember I'll take a pic of one next time I head out there.I would love to see a picture of that setup. I'm trying to build a range and that is exactly the kind of thing I need.

Not a framer by any means but managed to pull this off and am vary happy with the results. $150 in materials and a few hours during last week after work.

The modded picnic tables work good, esp[ecially for a club where they need lots of them, or for those of us who aren't so "handy". But the OP's bench really "pops". That is "man cave" furniture quality. That's kinda how I was envisioning it but it wasn't defogging completely in my head. Thanks.
