Bulgarian AK74 Bolt Carrier

Are all the US made bolt carriers for the Bulgarian AK74s made with a chrome finish? I would like to get one where the cocking handle part is black.

There is no such animal as a US made AK bolt carrier.

Anyone telling you this (or selling a "US made AK bolt carrier") is a fraud.

That ain't chrome either*. It's just steel that's been polished.

*Somebody COULD have had a bolt carrier chromed, but it ain't the way to bet.

Okay. The bolt carrier that came with my Lancaster Bulgarian AK74 is all polished steel. Here is an example of what I would like to have. It says on the Apex site that it's an original Bulgarian AK74 bolt carrier. If my Lancaster AK74 bolt carrier is not US made then this should not affect the 922r compliance, correct?

Being that it's a federal felony for them to manufacture a non-importable rifle w/o the appropriate number of 922r parts - I think you're safe.
