I seen some for cheap in a cheaper than dirt catalog a couple months back.
Now i can't find it on there site so does anyone know where I might be able to find some cheap bulk 7.62x39.

It isn't as cheap as it was six months ago. You have to search for anything less than about $160.00/1000 rds.

Good luck.

cool thanks......

never heard of any of those sites I'll have to check them out. Thanks

Now isn't the best time to buy. We just had a big shortage so people are still stocking up big time while it is still available. This has prices above what they have been normally. As long as supply keeps constant prices should drop back down once the demand is fulfilled. Whether or not this will happens is unknown though. It just isn't something you can predict.

I am just glad I stayed on with my sportsmansguide back order. It took like 3 months but I eventually got two cases for like $120-130 shipped. I also picked up a case at the gun show right before that for $145 or so. I still have two unopened cases and I am working on getting an AR so I should be switching over and stocking up on .223 for awhile. Unfortunately there is an increase in that right now too I see. I hope my build runs on Wolf OK.

I don't expect the price to drop below $100 like it used to be, but hopefully it will get back below $150. I have enough to feel comfortable, but I am waiting around a while as well.

At least it is available unlike .308 these days.

Prices have been going up on all ammo, not just imports, and it's there to stay. The reason isn't so much demand, though that might play a role, but an increase in the cost of metals and polymers due to heavy sales to developing countries. Also, the exchange rate isn't as favorable as it once was because of our economy (gee thanks, dubya). It doesn't look like prices will be coming down anytime soon. In fact, there's another price increase scheduled for American ammo, so I'm sure imports will follow too. If you don't already reload, it's time to consider it.

I've burned through most of a case of Golden Tiger, using three different Yugo SKSs and a WASR.

No problems at all. Even turned in some respectable groups.

i agree tiger went well through my sks and ak....ive expeirenced some issues with wolf military classic though...could have been a bad batch who knows??

I think Ammo man has good prices right now. I was over at Cabela's site today and almost had a heart attack at what their 7.62 ammo goes for now. Then I flipped over to price some .357 Magnum JHP....YIKES! It's gone up 71% from 4 months ago!

I think someone mentioned this already, but... I just ordered a case of Golden Tiger (Russian), 124 gr. FMJBT, lead core, steel case, non corrosive. Price was $165 with free shipping.

1/2 case is $95. 5 cases is $775. "While supplies last!"

Check the auction sites too!

You might want to check the gun auction sites as well. I got 1800 rounds of wolf classic for $200. Plus it was from a guy who lived not to far away from me so there was no shipping costs. You may be able to find a local deal.
