Did a search and didn't find any postings that were 'relatively new'

My Hornady bullet feeder die has been acting a bit wonky for a while,,, Double feeds or worse,,,
(Using 124 plated RN's which same die dropped several thousand with hardly missing a beat in the past)

Cleaned and adjusted,,, Not getting any better,,,

Not sure how excited I am about 'tweaking' the collet fingers. (I'm sure it can be done, but seems like a temp fix) In addition, I don't really want to file or tweak 'em the opposite way to make it feed coated bullets better either,,,

(FWIW, Using LNL AP. I do not have a bullet collator and have no real intentions of buying one anytime soon.)

Consensus seems to be the 'Mr. Bullet Feeder' die is the way to go.

1. Will any of the OEM Hornady bullet tubes I'm currently using (9mm and 45ACP) work with this die?

2. Anybody have the 'Mr. Bullet feeder' die coupled with a ~Bully~ (SoCal S & W) 'Mag P' bullet holder?

3. Any ~better~ options w/o spending several hundred dollars?

Thanks in advance!

Just squeeze collet "A" fingers together just a little. You should be good to go.

I put the squeeze on it after my last session, but,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, I haven't had an opportunity to test drive it yet. :( Doesn't look like I'll have an opportunity anytime soon either due to replacing all the flooring in the entire house,,, :(:(

I anticipate that the squeeze will 'get me going', at least with plated. (I still have some coated around here somewhere that it didn't really like before,,,)

The design of the MBF die is interesting, and if it can live up to the hype, I was considering adding one to my 'toolbox'.

Now, when you take collet "A" out be sure you check it to make sure it's not cracked. I had one crack on me Hornady sent me one. "For free".

I have both the new style “balls” MBF and the original “spring” KISS design. They are all for rifle bullets but have always worked with jacketed bullets.

That said, I never had any issues with the Hornady dropper with jacketed or plated.

All are position sensitive for them to operate just right. If you are worried about messing with original parts just call Hornady and get a replacement on the way. That way if you make things worse or break something, there won’t be any need to loose sleep over it.
