I was rooting around in my barn Monday and I came across a canvas bag with about 300 semi-jacketed spitzer bullets. Where they came from I know not. They were truly showing their age. I ran them through my Lyman tumbler to knock some age off. These bullets measure at .308 diameter and weigh right at 150 grains. 30.06 ? .308 ? Want to make sure this neophyte uses this treasure in the right pop-gun.

If they are in good shape, you can shoot them in either the .308 or .30-06. If they're round nose or flat point, they will also work in .30-30.

At .308 diameter, there are a plethora of .30 caliber cartridges they will work in.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Thanks Fred. It sure helped. I am going to try them out in a Ruger Mk II
30.06.
