Bullet Proof Seat

    This company is now selling a level IIIA seat cover for patrol cars, road rage protection and I guess cruising in da hood.

    This is the first time I've seen it. I might be interested if I had a dangerous job that involved driving. I don't know how much it costs but it's probably a lot cheaper than a bullet proof car.

    Just the seat? What if they shoot you through the window? Or the door? Most FMJ pistol rounds 9mm and up will penetrate the average car door. Seems silly.

    I'd rather have a Mercedes S600 Armored. (Do they still make them?)

    It'sa handy way to get some edge, no matter what vehicle they give you. I can see it's utility, in certain situations. Does limit your visibilty, though.

    Gimme an A-10

    That takes the concept of bullet proof seat to a whole new level.
    The cockpit is pretty much a titanium bathtub that protects the pilot from virtually all AA coming from below.
