I have become very fond of my Witness Elite Match .45. It's become one of my constant range companions along with my 1911's.

I am soon to order some bullets and was wondering if the 200 gn Hensley & Gibbs style SWC will feed reliably in the Witness Elite?

I am about to use up the last of my 230 gn RNL bullets and want to go to the 200 H&G for punching well defined holes in paper.

200-gr. LSWCs (including the H&G 68 design) fed well in my Witness .45ACP (standard version, SS, about fifteen years old) with some LOA tweaks.

I also have an Elite Match, but that one is in 10mm. That pistol is 100% on feeding, including some old 200-gr. LSWCs (more like today's LTC, but with a minor shoulder) that have been problematic in my other 10mms.

It's worth a try, IMO, for the .45ACP H&G 68 mold.

No problem s with the H&G 68 style 200 gr lead SWC in my Witness standard, stock, or limited with both EAA and Mec-Gar mags.

This SWC punches nice hole in paper and was my favorite until I got serious about shooting steel plates -- now I buy what ever I can get cheapest. They all knock the plates over fine if I do my part and with the volume I'm shooting now, price matters!

Thank you very much gentlemen. I would hate to buy a 1,000 plus bullets and have feeding problems. Think I'll place an order with Mastercast, have heard good things about their bullets.

Now I'm going to have to buy a Witness Elite... what a sweet looking gun!

I've been wanting a 10mm for a while...
