Guys,
I'm having a hard time finding what I want. Don't know what to call it, kind of makes searching hard....

It is a small pad that you can put on a table to use while loading and unloading guns. You keep the muzzle pointed at it and it helps control any bullets in a ND. Some sort of "Safe Pad" if you will.

Any help is appreaceated!

Tony

there is atleast one product called Safe Direction Ballistic Pad that I think you are talking about.
Just google it and you should have no problems finding it
Good luck
God speed

I also think you're looking for "safe direction" brand pads.

After you take a good look at the price on those, perhaps you'll want to consider a couple buckets of sand ... bulkier and less portable, but sometimes the low-tech works just fine.
Full disclosure, I use no such device for my personal gun clearing needs, but then I'm not handing a gun off to a relief, either. Might not be a bad idea if administrative handling will be frequent.

There's a gadget out there called a "clearing barrel" as well, just so you're aware of all the options.

Having Glocks I have to pull the trigger to clean it. I normally aim at a bookshelf or a 30lb cat liter container depending where I am. Either will stop a 9mm.

The reason I am looking for the pad is to use at our clubs gun show for the armed security at night while loading/ unloading. While many ideas are helpful, and would be great in my house, I would rather not have the liability. If something happened $200 is a lot less than loosing our facilities and the paperwork!

Thanks,

Tony

Home Depot can fix you right up.
Get a 5 gal plastic bucket of sand.
Have them use the center of the lid for a bullseye.

It will stop any handgun known to man, and most rifles.

And it costs less then five bucks.

litman252, I'm confused ... you have a gun club, and it has a range?
So why do you need a new "safe direction" literally or figuratively? Why not use the existing backstop on the existing range?

RC, when you say it that way it does make some sense to just to the bucket......

Our gun show is not at our range. Its at a rented building, steel walls cement floor and such..... Valid question though:)

Thanks guys........

That makes more sense, then.

I suppose the cost of such a device wouldn't be much compared to the cost of running a show and hiring armed (armable?) security
