Last year I had a problem with some plated and jacketed bullets corroding over the winter. I had them in plastic bags but it still happened. I have found some airtight containers that should work nicely, but am wondering if I should add some type of dessicant or rust inhibitor inside the container to further prevent corrosion over the long term. I have a wide variety of weights and sizes of bullets to be stored separately, so I am looking for something small but effective. Based on your experience what would you suggest? And also, does rust inhibitor paper absorb moisture or just prevent corrosion due to contact with other substances? I suspect it is for contact but am not sure.

Thanks

You could add dessicant.
It sounds like you must have a very severe mosture problem though.

If you are storing bullets, powder, primers, etc. outside in a shed or in an attached garage, you need to find room to bring it all inside.

Not only mosture, but extreme temperature swings are the worst thing you can do to powder & primers.
