An Eskom helicopter delivering cash to the Kendal power station near Mpumalanga has been robbed of an estimated R1-million in what police have described as a Western-Style shootout between security officals and two groups of robbers.

While the helicopter was on the premises a white BMW and a maroon Mercedes Benz drove up to the gate. Two men got out of the BMW and held the gate security staff at gunpoint. They held up a security official who was guarding the helicopter with an AK-47 rifle, then they forced the pilot out of her seat. The robbers put the bags of money into the car, fired 13 shots into the fuselege of the helicopter and sped off.

Western Style Shootout?

Who they kidding?

Apparently, gunplay and brigandage is common down there.

Saving SA from itself sounds like a mission for the Billyuns, uh, Millyuns, uh, hundreds, uh, ten misguided mommies.
