Has anyone ever used a Ciener "Atchisson" MKIII .22lr conversion in a bushmaster (mines of the xm15 series)? If so, do you have any ideas of its value? It seems to be a gimmick to me, but who knows, maybe its a great deal to save money.

Works fine in a Bushmaster. Figure $165 - $180 for one with a 30 round magazine. You'll need aftermarket magazines in case you manage to drop the one that comes with the unit -- they bend up easily.

Been looking at one, too. For those that have them, how's the accuracy? At what ranges do you use it?

My buddy has one and it runs great bin his OA Plinker.
It will not run in my Bushmaster at all!!!!
It will not run in my buddys 24" Bushmaster upper when
he puts it on his OA lower.
Good lucK on your choice.

I have one for my Buchmaster Xm15

and it works pretty good..It sometimes gets jams but firing away with a 30round mag is way fun(cheap too).. For the 30 round mags I got Black Dog Machine mags they were like $30 instead of $60 for the medal ones.

I keep thinking of getting one, but I'm reading mixed reviews with all agreeing that Ciener has the worst customer service in the industry. I did find out that a lot of dedicated uppers that work successfully use a modified Ciener kit and a true .22LR barrel with the correct diameter and rifling. But I have come to the conclusion that I can buy one of these for the price of a good .22LR upper.

This photo is of the foreign rifle, which would be a SBR here in the states. It comes with a 16" barrel for us. But I'm planning on getting one, pay the tax stamp, and gett the barrel cut off, recrowned and threaded for my supressor.
Good news is, about $500, and it is a complete gun. Should be here in the US by jan/Feb.
