i have a buddy at work that has a brand new bushmaster ar-15 a2 with knights arment rail system with the ak muzzle break and he wants to sell it to me for $650,which i i personally don't like the ak muzzle break and want a regular flash suppresor, how hard and how would i go about taking it off and replaicing it if i buy it from him? thanks

Just an aside the AK muzzle brake is no where near as nasty as the standard Bushmaster Y comp.

The thing to take into consideration is many of the AK brake guns were actualy 14 inch guns permenantly braked to 16 inches with the AK brake. That being said I am sure a good smith can remove but you best make sure the addition is a perment alteration that adds up to 16 inches.

Additionally and for the record, it is "muzzle brake," not "muzzle break."

"Brake" as in to arrest rather than "break" as in destroy.

Sorry if this makes me sound anal retentive--maybe I am.

Brakes are useless on an AR. Flash hiders are the way to go. If you can't have a flash hider, I'd rather have nothing than a brake.
