Bushmaster Carbon 15 Type 21S Pistol

Saw one at a local gunshop/range today. VERY COOL!! I'm thinking about buying one in January. Anyone here own or have shot one? Any opinions/info on this pistol would be much appreciated. Also, I would like to put a high quality, lightweight, red-dot on it. Any recommendations on which red-dot to put on this pistol? I realize that this is the rifle section, but I think AR fans would be more able to answer my questions about this "pistol" Thanks.

I just bought a Professional Ordance (before Bushmaster bought them) carbon-15 type 97 pistol on Wed and have not had a chance to shoot it yet. I look around on the net and read that Bushmaster has improved on the PO design. Some people have not had problems with them and so people had lots of problems. The seem, from what I read that they are ammo picky and mag picky, but that they are loud and lots of fun when they shoot right and have a big muzzle blast. Look around on the net and you will find peoples opinion on them.

I've had my Pro Ordnance .223 pistol since the end of '89 and shot it once. Lots of muzzle flash and noise. No mechanical problems - I only bought it because of the CA AWB. It has the exposed fluted barrel, and I'd be interested in selling. Just let me know!
