Bushmaster Carbon 15 9MM Pistol

I am looking at this pistol and wondering if any one knows anything about them. If they are good or junk. I like the fact that it is chamber in 9mm since 223 ammo is getting so expensive and hard to find. I just don't know about this model in the carbon form. I heard from other people that the carbon pistol 223 has lot's of issues, but wanted to know about the 9mm since there isn't any gas system just the standard blow back action.

Here's the question:

1. Is the Bushmaster Carbon 15 9MM Pistol anygood and should I get it??

2. The Bushmaster Carbon 15 9MM Pistol has too many problems do not get it.

3. Don't waste your time get the Kel-Tec PLR-16

Please help me out if you are able.

i never really see the point of the AR 9mm "pistols". You've got the big ol recoil tube sticking back...I dunno, I'd say just get a regular 9mm pistol or get a carbine. 9mm is about as cheap as you can go these days though

A 9mmP carbine has some merit as a fun gun, plinker, or even for self-defense use.

On the other hand, rifle-action-based semi-auto "pistols" are oversized and unbalanced for what they do - I thought that when the first full-sized UZI semi-auto pistol came out, when the first semi-auto Ingram 9mm came out, and nothing I've seen with the AR-based pistols has changed my mind.

oh, as far as bushmaster's, though, it seems to be fashionable by a certain click these days to bash them, but I've never had a problem with my Bushy AR, and if anything it has been more perfect than the Stag's I have, which are always recommended by the same click *shrug*

I don't have the Bushmaster 9mm but I do have the Bushmaster Carbon 15 in .223. I've also got two KT PLRs.
As .223 pistols the guns are impressive, especially the Kel Tec but I don't think I'd be interested in a 9mm.

I like the KT so much I bought a second one. I don't plan on buying a second Carbon 15.

The Bushmaster Carbon 15, Model 21 pistol in .223/5.56 is extraordinary. Mine is accurate, reliable and just fun! Put a reddot sight, a 90-round mag and a good sling.

I would never buy it in 9MM...why? You needed to have an option to vote for the .223/5.56 in Model 21.

I got a chance to shoot one of the Ket-Tec PLR 16's and HOLY CRAP THAT THING IS LOUD!!!!! The muzzle blast that, that bad boy gives off is pretty unfriendly too. I wish I could shoot a carbon 15 in 9mm, does anyone live in the South Florida area that has one??????

All of the above is why I am also thinking this is perhaps is the reason SWAT still uses the MP-5. It is a 9mm and is very effective up to 50 yards with the right ammo.

Con's I see with the PLR 16:
1. One blast in the evening time and you will be flash blind for a while.
2. The 223 round in the urban area (house, apartments) would be a bit over powering.
3. 223 is getting hard and more expensive to find and buy.

Pro's:
1. Both are the same size and I can get a more powerful round with the KT
2. It's hard to hide from the 223 round.

I have to tell you guys I am leaning more to the Carbon 15 in 9mm for what I want to do, which would mainly be used as a home defense weapon. Mount a Red-Dot, flash light and laser on her and away we go..... Can you all tell me why this set up wouldn't be effective

Bushmaster Carbon 15 P21S 9mm

I get a Bushmaster Carbon 15 P21S 9mm
pistol the other day. I have only fired 20 round thro it so far. Will fire it off some more soon. So far I like the balance, the way it handles, low kick, can fire it with one hand( I'm only 140 pounds) first 5 round just a test fire all hit dead center taking my time at firing it " about 15 feet away from target", after that I opened up and started pulling the triger rapidly all hit with a great spred. I am not the best of shooters so from what I have seen firing this weapon I am impressed.
