As of yesterday, I have put over 1K of lead through the barrel of my Bushmaster XM15-E2S with the Bushmaster Gas Piston Retrofit Kit installed. Aas some of you remember I had some early problems, caused by a gunny tightening the barrel clamp too much. This condition was resolved by Bushmaster directly, at no cost to me, except for the initial shipping of the upper to them, in under two weeks turn around.
The rifle has performed faultlessly mag after mag. I clean the bolt and all its parts at the range after each session and can confirm that the amount of grime on the bolt and its innards is minimal each time. The barrel has about the same as my 6920 after similar operation and the feed ramps are cleaner on the bushy. I have shot every type of ammo through it with no problema.
I mounted my ACOG A01 on it and accuracy at 100 yards is quite adequate, considering the shooter.
the top shots are with the iron sights and a few fliers.
