Bushmaster XCR Carbine

Has anyone played around with Bushmaster's XCR Carbine? It seems like their response to the SCAR and the upcoming release of Magpul's Masada. Is this rifle a fine piece of craftsmanship or something that was hastily created to compete with other contemporary rifle designs?

Umm it IS the Masada.

Robinson Arms makes the XCR, Bushmaster bought the rights to the ACR which is BM's designation for the Masada.

The "XCR" by Robinson Armament is a unique platform.

The rights to the concept rifle formerly known as the Magpul Masada were purchased by Bushmaster, who named the future production model the "ACR".

So, the ACR/Masada, for discussion purposes, are essentially the same thing. However, the Masada no longer exists.

The ACR is the Masada's official Bushmaster name. Magpul licensed the produce to Bushmaster.

I've shot the Masada, it's a very interesting and promising system.

I'm really hoping Bushmaster doesn't drop the ball on this one.

The ACR will have some needed improvements to the original Masada design, mainly in the cocking handle layout.
