Anyone got experience with or feedback on the Bushnell Elite 4200 4-16x40 and the Weaver Grand Slam 4.5-14x40?

Both appear to be similar, at least in price. Am looking to scope a FAL and want something that will hold up & provide good clarity etc.

Splat, check out Sightron. In my opinion, it's just a rebadged Leupold. A lot of others think so too. About the same $$$ as a 4200 Elite, but better IMHO.

I like the 4200 a lot. Have no fear about holding up...and it's plenty clear for a battle rifle.

I was never a Weaver fan, but my experience was with older Weavers. No opinion on their newer stuff.

No experience with Sightron, so I can't compare.

I think that a 4200 topped FAL would be pretty schweet looking.

Bushnell and Weaver are from the same company nowdays. The older Weavers, back say 20 years or so, were about the best of their time. I have several k4, a K2.5, and I just picked up a mint V4.5. I plan to run the V4.5 on my Mini14.

second squibloads statement. I have one on my tikka and I've made .25 MOA groups with it.
