I am going to buy a pistol around $300 -$350, I can’t pay more now for some
Reasons . I like to buy a US gun for getting good parts supporting . But a friend of mine told me if I want to buy a US gun around this price such as Ruger P89, he think it’s quality is not as good as a European gun such as Tokarev or Makarov or CZ 82 9x18. He said I can pay less than this price and get a good quality European gun. or If I insist to buy a US gun, I have to pay more not
only $300.
I am not sure if he is correct . I hope I can get some advices from here because
I am going to go a gun show this afternoon and maybe I can find one.
I don't know how about gun's quality until I shoot it.

Thanks!

I would say that a Ruger is of equal or better quality of the other pistols you mentioned. I'm pretty sure that 2 of those (Tokarev, Makarov) aren't even in production anymore. CZ makes a good firearm but I would say buy American (I do).

I'd take a Ruger any day over those you mentioned, however in your price range I would seriously look at new Taurus semi-autos like the MilPro or a nice used S&W or something similar.

I just bought a Ruger 89 $ 329.95 this afternoon , I will shoot it tomorrow morning to see what happen. but I like it.

Thanks!

I don't really like the way Rugers feel in my hand (but I'm picky), but the ones I've shot were quite accurate. They have a reputation for being built like tanks, too.

I tested it this morning at range. It is very good gun only the trigger has
a little bit longer pulling when I use DA, the SA is perfect. I like it. I hope I can keep it for several years. This is my second pistol.
